We arrived in Santiago around 7:00 am. We paid our $131 apiece just to set foot in Chile (this is because the US charges Chileans that much for a Visa to visit the US. We spent almost an hour in line for immigration, then went through customs. We were immediately herded to a shuttle bus bound for Valparaiso, so all our photos of Santiago were taken from the bus. We arrived in Valparaiso about 2 hours later, and got onto the ship fairly quickly after a little scare where we thought Dave had left his passport on the bus (we found it in a bag). All our photos of Valparaiso were taken from the bus or the ship because it was too difficult to get out of the port to see the city in the time we had left.
